For a personal project in Hobart, Tasmania, I captured the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) through a series of evocative photographs that reflect the feeling of being on an island near the edge of the world. Using chiaroscuro techniques, I honed in on subjects with intense focus, mimicking the tunnel-vision experience of standing inside a museum and immersing yourself in a single piece of art. The images convey the unique, almost otherworldly atmosphere of MONA—bold, divisive, and deeply captivating—while embracing the sense of isolation and intrigue that defines Tasmania itself.
